"Over the last 20 years, I've interacted with a number of attorneys, whether it was during my tenure at the Lee County Sheriff's Office, as a consultant, as an expert, and as a client. Not all attorneys are the same. Harley Brook stands out to me. I knew him when he was a young prosecutor working for Joseph D'Alessandro in the State Attorney's Office. He had a reputation as a firm, but entirely fair, prosecutor. While Harley eventually left the SAO's office, his reputation was galvanized. In fact, decades later, I hired Harley as a personal family attorney. Without any reservation, I can say that those seeds of fairness, justice and equity blossomed into a champion warhorse of an attorney. And I can also attest that these traits aren't just relegated to the courtroom, as I now call Harley a personal friend. He is such a grounded, humbled, and considerate man. For all of his successes, he still gives credit to God, and I find that to be an admirable quality. I cannot think of anyone else that should ascend to the bench. Most attorneys (and even judges) will likely tell you that being on the bench isn't a money-making endeavor; money is made in private practice. So, there are then probably two types of attorneys that seek the bench: those who are altruistic and prosocial, and those who seek the ego-inflation. Trust me, Harley is doing this for the greater good of Glades. Nothing in this is about his ego; he is honest, caring, compassionate, determined, and fair.
That is who we want, and need, on the bench and for that reason, I emphatically endorse Harley Brook for Glades County Judge in 2024."

"I have known Harley Brook for some time now. He is a fantastic Attorney. I am also very familiar with Attorney William Dorman and Attorney Richard Sullivan. Out of the three, Attorney Brook would win my vote. Each of them is an amazing attorney. However, I find Attorney Brook to be more well rounded and experienced than the rest. I have seen Attorney Brook go to trial on some very serious felonies as well as go to trial on several restraining orders. Attorney Brook has even handled traffic citations. He has experience in both Civil and Criminal and understands how each case influences the life of society and the individual. When put together he is a good fit to be a judge. Judges rarely if ever handle only one type of law. Attorney Brook is so well-versed in the various types of law that he could handle the job from day one with little need to learn the ropes in a different field of law.
Again, Attorney Dorman and Sullivan are excellent attorneys, but based on the fact that Attorney Brook is more well-rounded, he would win my vote."

"From the first time we met Harley at a community event in Glades County, he has always had a smile on his face, very outgoing and nothing but kind words to say. It is very obvious that Harley loves the Lord and his family.
While campaigning for Glades County Judge, his wife and children have been right there with him helping out and they are just as personable as he is. When Harley is not campaigning you might find him volunteering at a food bank or even see him singing at Karaoke night. It is not very often that you meet an attorney that is down to earth and involved in the community like Harley is. He has a wide variety of experience as an attorney for over 20 years and is dedicated to do what it takes to get the job done.
As Glades County Residents and Registered Voters we support and endorse Harley Brook for the position of Glades County Judge."

"I can't say enough good things about Harley Brook. We had never met when a friend told him about a problem I was having with government paperwork. Out of the goodness of his heart, he took my case, solved all my problems, and has become a good and trusted friend. I don't trust easily, but this man is fair, honest and does what he says he will. We need him."

"Since 1996, Glades County has been blessed that the County Court Bench has been filled by Honorable Judge Jack Lundy, and the choice by Glades County voters of Judge Lundy's successor is extremely Important. Judge Lundy is retiring at the end of his 28-year Service as Administrative Judge Glades County.
Here's why I'm endorsing Harley Brook for Glades County Judge:
Mr. Brook received his undergraduate degree from University of Florida with high honors and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law in 2002 and was thereafter admitted to the Florida Bar and Has been successfully practicing law ever since. Like Judge Lundy, Harley began his career joining the State Attorney's Office for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit as a Prosecutor for three years, including time right here in Glades County, and then defended numerous clients in criminal defense, family law and other civil cases while in private practice. He also has judicially handled thousands of traffic ticket cases as a sitting Glades County Traffic Hearing Officer over multiple years. He has the necessary education and experience to be our next county judge.
Forty-six years old, Harley is also a family man and has been married to his lovely wife Teresa for over 19 years with two teenage children. Mr. Brook enjoys spending time with his family, watching his children perform in their extracurricular activities, and watching college sports. Months before Harley filed to run for Glades County Judge, I was 'friended' by Harley on Facebook and shortly thereafter I met him in person at a local political meeting.
When he filed to run, I did my internet homework researching all I could find about him. I was impressed by his record, but more so by his genuine friendliness and interest in Glades County. He continues to attend community meetings throughout Glades County, but not political meetings. Judges are elected without party affiliation and Harley adheres to campaign rules and does not participate in local politics.
Harley's temperament, approachability, and warm gregarious personality makes Harley a great "fit" for Glades County. I urge every Glades County voter to vote for Harley Brook for Glades County Judge in 2024"

She has served on the Board of County Commissioners as Chair and Vice Chair, Ortona Community Association as Treasurer and Secretary. She also serves on the Glades County Local Planning Agency, Heartland Library Cooperative as Chairman, Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council and with the Ortona Cemetary Pavillion as Planner/Developer. As senior member of Glades BoCC she has had occasions to recognize and appreciate the importance of an experienced Judge serving the public as well as Glades County in Judicial matters Donna enthusiastically endorses Harley Brook for Glades County Judge as the only candidate with experience as prosecuting attorney and defense lawyer.
"Harley Brook, former Glades County Prosecutor and Traffic Hearing Officer, has over 20 years of experience in criminal and civil law. Harley has been married to Teresa Brook for 19 years and counting. They have two lovely and polite children. Teresa has been a teacher for over 20 years. When you meet them it is evident that they are a close-knit family.
I'm glad our Glades County Judge is elected, no appointed. Candidates need to get to know the citizens they will judge. Harley and his family have been visiting churches, community associations and other events throughout Glades County. He has impressed me with his ability to relate to people on any level or background in our community.
Harley Brook has the education, experience, temperment, desire and ability to be an excellent, fair minded Judge for Glades County."
